age 95 of Campbellsburg passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Woodrow was a farmer and an Army WW II Sergeant with a Bronze Star. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a Life Long Member of the TERMITES. Woodrow was the son of the late William Thomas & Myrtie Mae (Ethington) Payton and was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Croxton, Gladys McCarty & Naomi Hall and two brothers, Cecil & Hubert Payton.

He was survived by his wife, Harriett (Crecelius) Payton; three daughters, Peggy Reeves, Kathy Lesmeister (Steve) & Lisa Carper (Chris); two sons, Mike & Bruce Payton; six grandchildren, Chris Reeves (Jordan), Katie Cummins (Josh), Craig Lesmeister (Jordan), Eric Lesmeister, Kalen Carper & Abby Payton and seven great-grandchildren, Jack, Mitchell, Sam, Emalyn, Bennett, Annie Frances & Kayden.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home and interment will be in New Castle Cemetery.

Forms of contributions may be given to Hopewell Baptist Church, PO Box 188, Campbellsburg, KY 40011.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday, April 7, 2017 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
