Samuel J Brown passed away at his home at the age of 54 years old. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Hatcher. Samuel and Mary lived in the Austin Township now known as Simpsonville, SC.At the time of his death he was survived by one brother, three sisters, four children and wife Mary Elizabeth Hatcher. Samuel is believed to be buried at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Anderson SC. According to his granddaughter Crea Brown, below their son Archy's grave are most likely the ruins of her Grandpa and Grandma's graves. Their graves were relocated to Shiloh when I85 was built. We have been unsuccessful in locating Samuel's parents but stories were handed down of his parents living on a plantation somewhere in or near Elijay, Georgia.
