He was a Retired Teacher and Principal for the Monroe County Board Of Education, A Farmer, Member of Monroe County Retired Teachers Association, A Korean Army Veteran and a Member of the V F W.
Survivors are; Four Daughters, Dr. Brenda ( Gary ) Walden, Linda ( Jim ) Cooper, Loretta ( Cliff ) Stephens and Leslie Kay ( Brett ) Miles. Ten Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by His Parents, His Wife, Dixie Butler Carter and his Brother, Dr. Bruce Carter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday May 6, 2017 in Chapel of Strode Funeral Home in Tmpkinsville.
Burial in Skaggs Creek Cemetery, with Military Rites performed at the Graveside, by D A V chapter 20 of Glasgow.
