Mr. Delano was a graduate of Stafford High School. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. Delano was a retired deputy for the Stafford County Sheriff’s Department. Prior to working with Stafford County he had worked with Fredericksburg Police Department.
Mr. Delano was a member of the Pythias Lodge in Fredericksburg. He loved the water, boating and gardening. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mr. Delano was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Schooler Delano; parents Clarence E. Delano, Sr. and Pearl Searles Delano.
Survivors include his brother Eddie Delano of Fredericksburg; sister Tamara D. Park of Fredericksburg; father and mother-in-law Lauman and Frances Schooler; and special cousin Sean Lapier of Fredericksburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 2 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 3 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
