Mr Sugg, born in Greene County, was the son of the late Samuel Clayton Sugg and Olive Yount Sugg and the widower of Jewell Mewborn Sugg who died in 1989.
He was a graduate of Snow Hill High School and had focused the majority of his life before retirement primarily on farming and other agricultural related industries. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Snow Hill where he was very active until moving into an assisted living environment at Heritage Elite in Kinston.
He is survived by his children, Noah Y. Sugg, Jr. and wife Betty Sue of Pikeville; John C. Sugg and wife Willamina of Hookerton; Linda S.Conner and husband George of Roanoke Rapids; Nancy S. Henderson and husband Randall of Burgaw; and Michael E. Sugg and wife Kay of Clayton; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Sugg Craven of AZ.
