Lucille Cupp Alexander peacefully passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.Chaplain Suzanne Smith with Providence Hospice will officiate.Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Lucille was born May 5, 1919, in Italy, Texas,, to Charley and Bessie Watkins Cupp.Lucille was married to Delmon Alexander and together they built a life of wonderful memories.Delmon passed away on March 11, 2001. "Mom" loved her family very much.She helped her father open and operate Cupp's Drive-in in 1945.She worked to help support the family while Delmon attended Baylor Dental School, from which he graduated in 1954.She had a rare and true beauty that shined brightly, not only on the outside, but also from within. She was always there to help whenever needed.She was a member of CASA (Community Artists and Students Association), The Women's Dental Auxiliary, and the Waco Garden Club. Lucille loved to oil paint.She liked nothing more than to find a beautiful, old oak tree in a patch of bluebonnets, take a picture of it, and then capture if forever on her canvas.She will always be remembered for her beauty and her radiant smile.While living at Wesley Woods, she affectionately became known as "Diva". Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles and Byron Cupp; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Alexander. She is survived by her brother, James M. Cupp of San Antonio; sister, Bess Robinson of Houston; sisters-in law, Vearl Cupp of San Antonio and Doris Cupp of Shreveport, La.; son, David Alexander and Jean Bullard of Katy; and daughters, Linda Miller and husband, Gerald of Wills Point, Cindy Campos and husband, Bobby, of Hewitt, Sherri Siado and husband, William, of Houston, Suzanne Bullard and husband, Mike, of Waco; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David M. Alexander, Eric Bahnsen, Zack Beaty, Randy Donaldson, Ken Searcey, and Patrick Siado. The family would like to express a special thank you to Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center and Providence Hospice for the loving care given to Lucille.
