Deerfield - Melvin Hubred, age 96, passed away at his home surrounded by family on June 24, 2015. He was born on January 18, 1919 in Stoughton, son of John and Karen (Mickelson) Hubred. He married Evelyn Gyland in August of 1940. Melvin was a farmer all his life. He also did carpentry and other mechanical jobs. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, four children and their families, including 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Oswald, Leonard, Kenneth, and Lloyd. Funeral services held Saturday June 27, 2015 at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, Deerfield. Melvin will be laid to rest at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Cemetery. Cress Funeral Home in Deerfield assisted the family.
