Jimmy was 54 years old when he walked in front of a speeding east-bound car about 8 pm on a Friday evening. He had been attempting to purchase beer, and he had been drinking.

The saddest part is that Jimmy Naramore had been clean and sober for several years, after 20 years of alcohol/drug abuse and consequent homelessness, with intermittent incarceration for minor infractions. The police, unless they were new-hires, recognized him on sight. He had come so far! He currently had a home and a job. Last summer, while mowing on a hot day, Jimmy had a heat stroke. When an ambulance was called, the EMT's recognized him and assumed he was drunk. That's the rep Jimmy had in Memphis. But he was doing his best to live that down. And he had accomplished a lot. We may never know why he fell off the wagon this time. He won't sober up in THIS world. Seems a shame.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother and his brother Darrell. He is survived by his father, two exwives, two brothers, one sister, two sons, cousins, neices, nephews, and MANY friends (and Luke, his loyal canine companion). Rest in peace, friend Jimmy, until that day!
