Funeral services for Donald Gene Melton, 16, who died February 18 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Ward Melton at Ozark, were held Sunday afternoon in the Chaffin Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Selmore Cemetery under direction of Chaffin. Survivors include his parents, And two younger brothers, Jimmy and Howard of the home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Melton of Ozark; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. Cleve Slane and Mrs. Bertha Lynch, both of Ontario, Calif. Donald Gene was stricken with muscular dystrophy at an early age and was invalided during the past few years. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses which he symbolized by baptism on July 8, 1954.
