Jeremy Alan Yoder, son of Sanford Alan and Anna Jolene Yoder, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of 10. Jeremy was born January 10, 2007 in Yoder, Kansas. He was a fourth grade student and enjoyed his classmates and friendships. He loved preparing and eating good food. He especially liked to make popcorn and orange julius’ on Sunday afternoons. He loved to be outdoors, and really enjoyed mowing the yard with his brothers. He was always quick to help, and brightened the lives of his family and friends with his sunny smile, cheerful disposition, and hugs. He approached life and relationships with endless enthusiasm. Most importantly, he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He is deeply missed by his family and friends. We look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward H. and Laura Ellen Yoder and an aunt, Genie Yoder. Survivors include his parents, Sanford and Jolene Yoder, siblings, Shawn Adrian Yoder, Heidi Renee Yoder, Eric Philip Yoder, Jason Edward Yoder, and Kyle David Yoder, paternal grandparents, David J. and Clara M. Yoder and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Grand Lake Mennonite Church.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Grand Lake Mennonite Church with Mr. Steve Strite officiating. Interment will follow in the Grand Lake Mennonite Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be his brothers, Shawn and Eric Yoder and uncles, Jesse Miller, Titus Nisly, David Yoder and Philip Yoder.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami.
