He passed away at the age of 89, and had been a resident of Grosse Ile. He was the cherished husband of Melva. Dear father of Rob, and Ann (Martin) Skrycki-Mohler. Loving brother of Andrew. He was a founder of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and his Funeral Service was held there. Arrangements by Czopek Funeral Directors.

Skrycki,Robert R of Grosse Ile, April 9, 2017. Age 89. Born February 11, 1928 in Wyandotte, Bob was the son of Andrew and Anna (Gorecki) Skrycki. Beloved husband of Melva. Loving father of Rob and Ann (Martin) Skrycki-Mohler.

He married Melva Bragenzer in 1955.Dearest husband of Melva for 62 years. He and his wife were members of St Mark’s Lutheran Church in Flat Rock for over 60 years. He was a devoted husband and father. He also leaves behind a brother, Andrew Skrycki, and was preceded in death by his sister Irene (Burger).

He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951 – 53 as a Corporal in the Ft Gordon MP program.


His career began at the Ford Motor Company Apprentice School and later employment at McCord Gasket Corporation where he retired in 1990 as the Chief Product and Process Engineer, after 44 years of service.
