Lillie Arabie “Mae Mae,” 91, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away in her home on April 11, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.

Lillie Arabie was born on February 21, 1926 in Welsh, LA. She enjoyed her flowers and going fishing. Lillie was well loved by all of her family and friends as well as all whom she met.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 40 years, Lalton “Larry” Arabie; daughter, Melinda Oliver and husband Don Jr.; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Berwick and husband Wallace; as well as her pup, Princess II and grandpup, T Baby.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Rose Miller and Linda Duhon; her parents, Sostan and Bertha Guilbeaux; two brothers, Edgar Veillon and Herbert Guilbeaux; and her first husband, Hadley Bellon.

Lillie’s funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home on Lake Street. Father Roland Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery in Welsh, LA. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 2 PM until 9PM with a Cursillo Rosary being recited in French at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services.
