Doris Ann (Shipley) Allen, age 84, of North Little Rock, formerly of Jacksonville, AR passed away on March 29, 2017 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on February 20, 1933 to James Henry and Ruby Pearl Shipley at Elgin, Arkansas.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James L. Allen, her son, James H. Allen and her parents.
She is survived by her sister Jimmie (Howard) House of Tallapoosa, Georgia. Her daughter Aleecia (Danny) Starkey, granddaughter Alyssa (Wesley) Goad and great-grandson Daniel Goad all of Sherwood, Arkansas. She is also survived by grandson Christopher (Katie) Allen and great –grandchildren Paige, Avery and Cooper Allen of Rogers, Arkansas.
She further leaves sisters-in-law Beulah West of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary Smith of Alabaster, Alabama and daughter-in-law Melanie Allen of Bentonville, Arkansas. She further leaves to cherish her memory many nieces, nephews and friends.
