Bruce C. Ballard, 69, of Fort Dodge died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge. Burial, with milita[r]y rites, will be at Memorial Park Cemetery there.
Mr. Ballard was born in Indianola and had lived in Fort Dodge most of his life. He worked for Rasch Construction Co. in Fort Dodge before retiring He had served in the Air Force as a radio operator during the Korean War.
A daughter, Nancy Ballard of Shawnee, Kan survives He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the lime of services Saturday at the funeral home.
