She was born to Ben and Esther (Wert) Metcalfe. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Gilbert Sanders and he died in 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Wesley (Kay), Maria Stein and Doug (Amy), Delphos; seven daughters, Sharon (John) Johnson, Columbus Grove, Karen (Bill) Fosburgh, Spencerville, Rebecca (Paul) Richardson, Delphos, Sandra (Dave) Diehl, Defiance, Christina (Michael) Kimmet, Ottoville, Janice (Bill) Romes, Fort Jennings, and Lori (Gary) Romes, Middle Point; a brother, Blaine, Borden, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Metcalfe; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two infant sons; five brothers, Harold, Carroll, Edgar, Irvin and Robert Metcalfe; and four sisters, June Blue, Morene Hennon, Vernene Kampf and Beulah Allison.
She was a housewife and past president of Delphos Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3035.
