RITES HELD FOR MRS. WILL FINCH AT ST. EDWARD

Mrs. Will Finch 89, passed away at her home Monday afternoon, August 23rd. Funeral Services were held at 10 AM Thursday August 26th in the Presbyterian with Rev. Earl Hasselbalch officiating, and Mrs. Neal Hasselbalch sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "I Need Thee Every Hour." Milford Myhre accompanied them on the organ. Pallbearers were Vernon Weldon, William Weldon, Paul Finch of Omaha, Robert Currier of Topeka, Kan., Herman Heck of Elkton, Mich, and Roy Smith.
Cornelia Pomeroy Clark was born to Mr, and Mrs. John Clark on Sept 25th, 1859 in Green Lake County, Wis. She was united in marriage to Will Finch at Green Lake, Wis. on Aug. 28, 1979. To this union four children were born. Mrs. Finch came to this community with her husband shortly after their marriage and resided here until the time of her death. She was active in school and church affairs and was one of the first school teachers in Platte County. She served as president of the Ladies Aid and the Sunset Club, and regent of the Beaver Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, Will, one son John C. Finch of Martin, S.D.; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Wells of St. Edward and Mrs. Joseph Matter of Oak Park Ill; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One daughter Cornelia, died in infancy.
Out-of-town relatives attending services were Mrs. Joe Matter, Oak Park, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Finch and daughter Doria of Omaha; John Finch of Martin S.D.; Mrs Roy Weldon and daughter Rayeen of Bad Axe, Mich.; Herman Heck of Ekton, Mich.; Misses Pearl and Ruth Eilers of Bad Axe, Mich.; Mr and Mrs. Ben Nelson of Monroe,; Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brower, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Fullerton; and Mrs Victor Pearson of Sunnyvale, Calif.
