REVERAND FRANK HIATT CLUTZ
Rev. Frank Hiatt Clutz, 88 of Tucson, Arizona, died Monday February 10, 1997. He was born on August 29, 1908 in Atchison Kansas. Ordained in 1931, his first assignment was an assistant at Luther Place Memorial Church in Washington, DC. There he met his wife-to-be, Dagmar Henningsen, whom he married in 1933. Frank was called to faith Lutheran Church in Phoenix Arizona where he ministered 12 fruitful years from July of 1948 until 1960. He was called to First Lutheran, Oakland California, in 1960 and served until 1968 when he was called to Redeemer Lutheran in Seal Beach, California, serving there until his retirement in 1975. After retiring, he remained active in the ministry, serving in California, and assisted as a calling pastor at Love of Christ in Mesa Arizona.
Frank was preceded in death by children, Edith Ann and Frank. He was survived by his wife Dagmar, H. Clutz; sons Rev. J. Wendell Clutz and Ronald R. Clutz; brother Claude Clutz; 4 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday, February 27, 1997, at Love of Christ Lutheran Church, 1520 North Power Road, Mesa, Arizona.
