In loving memory of a precious wife, mother, grandmother, relative and friend. Too soon Melinda has left us. Our lives will be empty in places that her energy once filled. Her life was one that touched many. A life that exemplified kindness. She gave us laughter, she gave us time and she gave us of herself. Melinda's life burned so that others' paths were lit. She was living proof of just how fine a person can be. She inspired us, not only to live, but to enjoy living. Our sorrow is lessened only slightly with the comforting thought that we had the privilege to know and love Melinda over the years.
Melinda was born in Fresno, California. She was a resident of Clovis all her life of 46 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Greer, Sr.; father-in-law, Marvin D. Ellis; and father-in-law, Scotty McNuff. She will be in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her husband, Michael McNiff of Clovis. She is also survived by her children, Shylynn Ellis, Derek Ellis, Chad Ellis; and their father, Mike Ellis, all of Clovis. She is also survived by a granddaughter, the apple of her eye, Tayven Shelby Reyna of Clovis; her mother, Clara Barton (Greer); brother, Rocky Greer, both of Clovis; sister, Cheryl Greer of Indiana; brother, Freddie Greer of Kerman; sister, Joanne "Binky" Morrissey of Niles Canyon; as well as many much loved relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Monday, February 12, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.
