Ruby is the daughter of William Milton Slaughter and Martha Adaline nee BAKER Slaughter.

Ruby married Jay Adams.Ruby was buried here in an unmarked grave by the front gate on Feb. 7th, 1925 after having passed away in the Arlington Heights Sanitarium, Fort Worth, Texas of Pellagra.
She was handled by McInnis and Son Funeral services after being brought by train to Brownwood, Tx.
She was, by poor handling, buried in a pauper-like situation and location under the name of Mrs. Jay Adams/Mrs Jay Adame/Jay Adams.
She was married July 19, 1915 in Brewster county, Tx to Jay Case Adams, Sr. and had a son Jay Case Adams, Jr in 1923 while residing in Old Mexico.
Having ownership of this memorial PVGS Greenleaf is creating this memorial to her to bring about a portion of the truth of her existence and her death.
