When Kenneth was born his parents were living in Bellflower, Los Angles County, California. After Kenneth's brother Harold was born his parents soon divorced. Neither parent got custody of Kenneth or Harold. Kenneth and Harold were all ways boarded out to a family. Kenneth and and Harold spent three years in a home for children. After that they were boarded out again to another family. After Kenneth's father died in 1942 his mother got custody. We lived in Bellflower again. Kenneth joined the boy scouts raising the rank of a Star Scout. Kenneth then went on to become a Sea Scout. While he was in the Sea Scouts he met a another Sea Scout that would eventually marry Kenneth's future wife's twin sister. Kenneth joined the Navy as soon as he turned 17 years old. He was sent to boot camp in San Diego, California. After he finished boot camp he was sent to Port Hueneme, California for six months of gasoline engine training. After that Kenneth was sent to the Island of Guam and arrived there in November 1947, for a tour of duty of 18 months. Before the 18 months were up Kenneth was sent to the Island of Kwajalein, with only 3 months to finish the 18 months. Kenneth worked in the Island power plant. When Kenneth was sent back to the states, he went on leave and went home to Bellflower. While on leave he met a beautiful 16 year old girl. Kenneth was only 19 at the time and still in the Navy. It was love at first sight. When Kenneth 's leave was up he had to go back to San Francisco for reassignment. That turned out to be Adak, Alaska. Kenneth was discharged in 1950 in Seattle Washington, and flew home to see Jeanne. Jeanne waited for him to come home. They married February 2, 1951. Kenneth and Jeanne had five children. Kenneth went to school on the GI Bill to get an aircraft and aircraft engine license from the FAA. Kenneth started his own aircraft business when he was 24 years old. It became very successful. Kenneth sold his business and started flying a twin engine Piper aircraft for a corporation. Kenneth and Jeanne were married for 64 years. Cancer took Jeanne's life in 2015, they had a great life together. Traveled all over the United States ending up visiting all 48 states.
