Carol L. "Pinky" Brunner Swyers, 69, of Plum, died Sunday (March 21, 2004) in St. Margaret Seneca Place, Penn Hills.

She was born May 13, 1934, in North Bessemer.

Mrs. Swyers was a member of Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek, Plum, the church choir and Eastern Star and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Swyers; two daughters, Lea Ann Ostergaard of Mt. Lebanon and Donna Schmitt-Murtha of Plum; four grandchildren; her mother, Frances Brunner of Plum; a brother, Thomas Brunner of New Kensington; and a sister, Sallie Farabaugh of Plum.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Brunner.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road, Penn Hills. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek by her pastor, the Rev. John J. Lolla Jr.. Burial will be in Plumcreek Cemetery, Plum.
