Fern Helen Cutler, 86 a resident of Somers, Wisconsin since 2002 and formerly of Waukegan passed away early Saturday morning April 1, 2017. Fern was born September 7, 1930 in Linton, North Dakota to Joseph and Mary Keller Fettig. She was a graduate of Presentation College of Nursing in Aberdeen, South Dakota class of 1952 and became a registered nurse having worked at the Lake County Hospital in Waukegan from 1952-1972 and then in various nursing homes retiring in 2003. She loved to go to the beach at Lake Michigan with her twin sister Patricia and spend some quiet time and read. She is survived by nine children; five sons James (Anne), David (Julie), Douglas (Mary), Scott & Frank Cutler, four daughters Mary (Ron) Burleson, Katie (Michael) Globis, Nancy (Patrick) Conroy and Karen (Fred) Boxwell; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one brother Herman (Velma) Fettig. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyman in 1972, her twin sister Patricia Marie Schwartz in 2015 as well as four other brothers and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 West Wadsworth Road, Zion on Thursday, April 6, 2017 with Fr Paul Stemn officiating with interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30am until time of mass at the church.
