Randy, age 58, of Newark, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center, surrounded by his family. He was born January 23, 1959, in Columbus, a son of the late Paul and Evelyn (Lowe) Dusenberry.
A graduate of Lakewood High School and COTC, he was an administrator with the Ohio Department of Taxation in Columbus. Always a family man, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He had been the past president of the North Newark Little League and the Newark High School Football Parents Club. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, NBBL basketball and was a football referee for 16 years. He was a member of St Edward Parish in Granville.
Left to cherish his legacy are his wife of nearly 37 years, Deborah (Gebhart) Dusenberry, whom he married on July 12, 1980; his children Douglas Dusenberry of Newark, Edward (Tess) Dusenberry of Etna, Amber Dusenberry of Newark; his granddaughter Sadie Dusenberry, his brother Bryan (Barb) Dusenberry; mother-in-law Maxine Gebhart; his brothers and sisters in law, Dick and Lisa Gebhart, Jim and Jeanne Gebhart, Dave and Theresa Gebhart, Ed and Colleen Gebhart, Dean and Shelia Fulk and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Riley Grace Dusenberry, father-in-law Charles Gebhart; brother-in-law John Gebhart and sister-in-law Shelli Gebhart.
