Wife's Death Follows Husband's By a Day
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Aug 4 -- Death called a second time at the local nursing home where Mr. and Mrs. Perry Brooke Johnson spent their last days together.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday and Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, both after extended illnesses. A joint funeral service will be held in Warrenton Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Estelle Foote Blackwell Johnson was 74. She was born in Fauquier County and had lived in Warrenton.
She leaves a son, Perry Brooke Johnson, Jr., of Takoma Park, Md.; six daughters, Mrs. Dan J. Moffett and Mrs. Clinton Burdette, both of Warrenton; Mrs. Robert M. Hubbard of Charlottesville; Mrs. George McNeir of Lansdowne, Pa.' Mrs. John A. Wallace of Towson, Md., and Mrs. William H. Armstrong of Rocky Mount; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Carter Blackwell of Warrenton; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
