Rose Ellen was the seventh of nine children born in Salem to Edward and Ellen Hedges Peterson. She became the mother of five children. Rose loved her children, recording music and old movies, reading books, sports and I Love Lucy.
Since Rose and her sister Peggy were often childhood partners in mischief it is only fitting that they are buried side by side each with a parent.
Rose was preceeded in death by her parents, her older brother Leslie Gene Peterson and her sister Margaret Marie McGuire (Peggy).
Rose had a dry but good sense of humor and could see something humorous in almost any situation, including her illness. She once said "I hope somebody records my funeral."
