BRISTOL -- Mrs. Mary Crosby Bowen, 85, died Aug. 27 at a Dublin nursing home.
The native of Pierce County lived in the Bristol area until moving to Dublin two years ago. She was a member of Bristol Baptist, had been active as a Sunday school teacher and served as secretary and treasurer for a number of years. She was a member of the Railroad Ladies Locomotive Auxiliary and the widow of Allen Paul Bowen.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Dr. Allen Bowen of Dublin and Jerry Bowen of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Daisy Moore of Savannah; a brother, Bob Crosby of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bristol Baptist Church, burial in Bristol Cemetery.
