Patricia Burns, age 75, died July 29, 2010 in Vancouver. She was born February 22, 1935 in Liverpool, England and raised in Manchester. She came to the U.S. in 1957 and settled in New York and then went to California in the early 1960's. She moved to Vancouver in 2004. Patricia loved jigsaw puzzles and gardening. She was also a big Neil Diamond fan.

Survivors include her children Sheila Nordgren (mats) of Vancouver, Deborah Abata of Santa Rosa, CA, David Abata of Santa Rosa, CA, and Valerie Gallo of Asheville, NC; sister, Sheila Baker of Kent, England; grandchildren, Leif, Ashley, Anthony and Brianna and great grandchildren, Aidan, Jaslyn, Lilyal and Alexander. Shasha, her Shih-tzu god who was her constant companion, was her last "baby."

She was preceded in death by one child, Mitchell Abata.

A private family gathering was held. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.
