Elva Marie Pollock was born the daughter of Edward O. and Catherine L. Clapp Pollock in Salem, Washington County, IN.

Elva Pollock and Britz Elton Davis were married on September 15, 1932, in Madison, Jefferson County, IN.

They had one daughter.

OBITUARY: Elva M. Davis May 1, 1906 - Jan. 24, 1997

Elva M. Davis, 90, of Medora, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 1997, at her home, after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of Medora Christian Church. She had been a resident of Jackson County for 67 years.

Born May 1, 1906, in Washington County, she was a daughter of Edward and Katherine Clapp Pollock. On Sept. 15, 1932, in Madison, she married B.E. "Skinny" Davis, and he preceded her in death June 18, 1977.

Survivors include a daughter Oetha Jones, Medora; two granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; and a great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Brewer; and two brothers, Ora Pollock and Vernie Pollock.

The Rev. Stan Thomas will conduct services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown, with burial to take place at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Medora Christian Church.
