CRISFIELD - A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Sterling Funeral Home here for Edna M. Buse, 88, of Crisfield. She died Sunday in McCready Memorial Hospital of respiratory failure.
The Rev. Berry McCready will officiate and he will be assisted by the Rev. James Kipper. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in nearby Lawsonia.
Born here, she was the daughter of the late L. Edward and Hettie Elizabeth Sterling Nelson. Her husband, Clarence Buse, died in 1975. She was a member of Crisfield First Baptist Church. She had taught Sunday School for more than 50 years in several churches.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Evans and Betty Snyder, Crisfield; a brother, Edward Nelson, Crisfield; a sister, Susie LeCates, Princess Anne; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A late son was Harvey N. Howard.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
Contributions may be made in the memory of the deceased to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad or to the memorial fund of the First Baptist Church, both of Crisfield, Md. 21817.
