John was born on April 2,1940 in Sanger, California. He was raised to ranch in the Orange Cove area. John loved to fish and race anything that went fast. John passed away on September 30, 2015.
John was preceded in death by his parents Fines and Florence Owen and his two brothers; Richard and Gary Owen.
He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Owen, his sons; Kevin Owen and wife Pam, Kelly Owen and his wife Lisa, and his daughter Karen Shakin and husband Andy. John also leaves behind his sister Lynn Chrisman and husband John, six grandchildren; Shawn, Ashley, Sherri, Shelby, Bryce, and Jeffrey and four great-grandchildren; Michael, Bently, Zarah, and Preston.
Graveside services will be held at Sanger Cemetery on Tuesday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00a.m.
