American Folk Figure, Kennedy Assassination Witness. Brehm served as a Staff Sergeant, in the United States Army, during World War II and was part of D-Day. On November 22, 1963, Brehm was in Dallas, Texas, to see President John F. Kennedy's motorcade, when shots rang out. Brehm who was with his young son, can be seen on the now famous Abraham Zapruder film of the assassination, crouching down after the shots were fired. The footage of Brehm and his son was later used in several Kennedy documentaries and miniseries including, "Rush To Judgement" (1967), and "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" (1988). Brehm passed away in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 71.
