She was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Choctaw County. Mrs. Adams was a retired second grade teacher of 33 years, and a member of Ackerman Baptist Church, where she was the organist for over 50 years. Mrs. Adams died April 23, 2017, at the Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman.
Survivors include a son, John David (Martha) Adams of Anacortes, Washington; a brother, Lamar Keen of Ackerman; two grandchildren, Zach (Jess) Adams of Anacortes, Washington and Angela Adams of New York City, NY; and one great-grandson, Theo Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. Adams.
Memorials may be made to Ackerman Baptist Church.
