Doris Marie Lange, the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Bigger) Obermeier, was born on a farm south of Aurora, Nebraska, on August 31, 1926, and passed away at her home in Aurora, Nebraska, on March 4, 1991, at the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 3 days.
She grew up and attended school in Hamilton County, and graduated from Harvard High School in 1944.
On July 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to Virgil Lange, at Aurora. They lived on a farm until they retired in 1986, and moved into Aurora.
Doris was baptized in the Lutheran Faith and was confirmed April 6, 1941, at the First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Aid Society for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Virgil, of Aurora; one son Larry of Imperial; one daughter Sheryl Lange of Kearney; 2 brothers, Don Obermeier of Giltner and Joe Obermeier of Grand Island; one sister, Elaine Dukesherer of Pittsburg, California, and 2 grandchildren, Scott Lange of Imperial, and Machelle Lange of Scottsbluff.
