A resident of Bloomington from 1931 to 1972, Mahigian and her late husband, Kurk Mahigian, owned the Safari Shop at the College Mall. She was a member and past president of the Alpha Chapter of Tri Kappa and was a member of Bloomington Elks Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Mahigian Russell, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Russell, in 1953, and one son, David Scott Mahigian, in 1974.
