Born in Akron, Ohio on June 12, 1931 the daughter of Fred and Marie Carpenter, she lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and was a 1948 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Carol lived most of her life in Akron. She proudly worked at Goodyear Aircraft (later Aerospace), retiring with over 30 years of service.
Carol was an active member of the Woman's City Club, enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, sewing and traveling later in life. She also was an active member of her church, St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church. A loving lady, Carol always sported a beautiful smile. Her cheerful demeanor was contagious and she never knew a stranger. A devoted wife, aunt, daughter, sister and sister-in-law who loved her family and friends dearly, she will be missed by so many.
Preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Emil H. Abdenour; parents, Fred and Marie Carpenter; sister, ; brother, Don Carpenter, and half-brother; she is survived by niece, as well as many nieces and nephews through her husband Emil who loved her as their own aunt.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospice, Devoted Companions and her health aid Lana for her wonderful care.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
