ROBERT N. MARSHALL VALPARAISO, IN Robert Nelson Marshall passed away peacefully at VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso on April 26, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1925 in Liverpool, OH to the late Leroy and Bertha M. (Richmond) )Marshall. He was a resident of Valparaiso since 1965, member of Heartland Christian Center, retired foreman for US Steel, and member of the American Legion Portage #260. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He is survived by his five children: Robert K. Marshall of Union Mills, IN, Cheryl Constantine of Dunedin, FL, June Gorry of Palm Harbor, FL, David Marshall of Valparaiso, IN, Dawn Marshall of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Norma J. Marshall in 1990; daughter-in-law, Deborah. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Heartland Christian Center, 170 S. State Rd. 49, Valparaiso, IN. Paster Phil Willingham officiating. Interment, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Friends may call on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell St., Valparaiso, IN. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert's life.
