Edmund A. Guzewicz, 92, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband of the late Josephine (Lyons) Guzewicz, died Thursday (August 6, 2009). He was born in Taunton, MA and resided in Wethersfield for over 40 years. A 1940 graduate of the University of Michigan, he retired after many years in the aerospace industry with the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corp., Chandler-Evans and Hamilton Standard Corp. Ed was an avid fan of the Whalers and the Boston Red Sox and was an ardent woodworker and clockmaker. He also had a very fun-loving nature and loved to kid with the residents and staff at the Atria Green Ridge Place in Rocky Hill where he has resided for the past 4 years. He was predeceased by five brothers and a sister. His funeral service will be held Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:45 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
