On April 11th, we lost our mother Maria Holguin de Morales also known as Mary, Mary Bea, Maria Beatrice, Mus, Grandma Mary, & Darling Mary. Her body tried to fight but the Angels came and took her.

She was like no other and will never be forgotten. Her generosity was contagious and her sense of humor could not be matched. Our mother only had kind words and was known for her heart of gold.

She was an accomplished writer, poet, real estate agent, and best of all could throw a party like no other.

Our mother was a devout Catholic who prayed daily to the Virgin Mary and the Holy Father.

Mary is survived by her Mother Beatrice Fairbanks de Holguin Cayzer, her two sisters, Jeannie Holguin Roberts, and husband Robin Kershaw Roberts, and Claudia Holguin Peterson and husband William Peterson, her two daughters, Vanessa Virgo and husband Brett, and Veronica Morales and her husband Robert Effinger, and six grandsons, Tristan, Julian, Tyler, and Adrian Virgo, and Callisto and Callahan Effinger.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Seminole Chapter), the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club U.K. And Mayflower Descendants. She published a book of poetry, The Jewel of Verse. Mary won numerous poetry awards and was published in numerous poetry anthologies.

We are so thankful to have you as our mother as we know how fortunate we are to have felt what unconditional love felt like. May your soul Rest In Peace for an eternity. We love you forever and ever and ever and ever..... your daughters Vanessa & Veronica.

A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach on Friday, April 21st from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be at St Edwards Catholic Church, Palm Beach on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 AM.
