Vanarsdale Bonaventure Demski, of Punta Gorda, Fl., formerly of Midland, passed away at his home August 17, 2000, after a long illness. Dale was born July 11, 1925 in Midlnad, son of the late Peter and Josephine (Cichochi) Demski. He was a 1943 graduate of Midland High School. Dale served in the Army during World War II and the Battle of the Bulge where he earned the Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, World War II Overseas Service Bars, two Bronze Stars, Ocupational Medal of Germh Steel" as a Union Painter.ay, and Good Conduct Medal. Upon returning, he attended Ferris State College and became a watch maker. Dale made his home in Midland where he met and married Lucy Marie Daniels of Sanford on February 4, 1948. Dale was a milkman for Bordens Dairy. He was known for "Walking High" as a Union Painter.
He is survived by his wife Lucy Marie of Punta Gorda, Fl,: 4 sons Dale, Frank, Thomas and Charlie Demski and daughter LuAnn (Kevin) Wagner; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers; Lewis, Harry and Raymond and one sister Gwendolyn. Cremation has taken place.
