Norbert “Norb” Abel age 90 of St. Charles, died October 21, 2013. He was born December 5, 1922 to William and Ruth Abel, in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the US Coast Guard as a gunners mate 3rd class in WW II. After the war he made his career as a lithographer, and was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his son John Abel,two granddaughters, one great grandchild, his sister Joan Ott, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel “Pinky”, and his brother William Jr.
