LANCASTER, S. C. Mr. Ansel "Blease" Blackmon, Jr. age 74 died Sunday morning April 23, 2017 at his home. He was born in Columbia S.C. October 14, 1942 to the late Ansel Blease Blackmon Sr. and Ruth Player Blackmon and was the husband of the late Ginger Blackmon. Junior was a Self Employed Contractor and Builder, and at the age of 5 help build and later on remodeled Lynnwood United Methodist Church, where he was a member, and also served our great country in the United States Air Force. He attended Clemson University, was a mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 and Shriner with Hejaz Shrine Temple.

Junior is survived by one son David Wylie Blackmon and his friend Sandra Ann Blackmon, of Lancaster, two grandchildren both of Columbia, S.C., one sister Pat Blackmon Huckabee of Rock Hill, and preceded in death by two brothers Mike Blackmon and W.L.(Bubba) Blackmon.

The Funeral Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday April 27, 2017 at Jerry Hartley Funeral Home Chapel, 684 Hubbard Drive with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
