She married Boyce "Bunny" Allen in St. Maries, Benowa County, Idaho, where Bunny worked in the logging industry.
Margaret worked at General Controls, was the head chef at the Four Season, and retired as the head seamstress from the Veteran's Administration Medical Center. Margaret was also a volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center and the area nursing homes, where she did line dancing for many years. She also taught a sewing class through Community Schools.
Margaret was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, golfing, and bowling. Margaret loved going to her son Doug's camp for cook-outs with the family. She also loved to play any type of card game and enjoyed playing with her friends at the Senior Center. Margaret was very proud of getting a perfect score of 29 in cribbage while playing with a friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bunny, her brother Clarence, and her stepfather Oliver King.
Margaret is survived by two sons Robert (Karen) Allen of Appleton, and Douglas (Joyce) Allen of Kingsford, two sisters Irene (Francis) LeQuia of Kingsford and Doris Slayton of Port Richey, FL, her grandchildren David (Charlene) Allen, Dianne (Jon) Kurtz, Tina (John) Elmer, Mark (fiancée Kristi) Allen, and Jon Allen, and her great grandchildren Lindsey Kurtz, Kristina Kurtz, Melissa Elmer, Emily Elmer, and Dalton Allen. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Visitation will be Weds. from 10:30-11:00am at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at 11am Weds. at the church. Father Paul Nomellini will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in the Pembine Cemetery.
