Emma McComas
Mrs. Emma McComas, 68 of 404 Acres, died at 10:25 a.m., Saturday after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1887, at Dyersville, Ia., the daughter of Fred Bauman and Emma Ecles. Mar. 11, 1931, she married Gordon McComas at Cedar Rapids.
She was a member of St. Lukes Evangelical & Reformed church and the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are four children by a former marriage, two sons, Norbert Kirchoff, St. Louis, Mo. And Paul Johnson, Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Russell Fouts, and Mrs. Albert Mehaffy, both of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Martha Hobbs, Burlington; a brother, John Stacken, Chicago. Ill.; also nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Private services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove
