Enlisted, February 2, 1915, in Troop D, Squadron A Cavalry, Bew York City. He mustered in for Mexican border service with Troop D, Squadron A Cavalry, June 30, 1916, New York City. Squadron A was assigned to Camp McAllen, Texas with the New York Division. He was discharged from border service, September 15, 1916, at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, NY, for dependent wife.

His brother Mario Lazo was a member of Troop D, Squadron A Cavalry and served with him on the Mexican border.

World War 1, attended, OTC, and commissioned, Captain, Ordnance. Assigned to Washington, DC, with the Ordnance Department then to the General Staff. Discharged from the service, January 22, 1918.

World War 2, associated with United States Commercial Co. ( buying of critical war materials in neutral counties to prevent the enemy from obtaining them ).
