Preble Elizabeth Lowe, 86, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Woodland Park, Colorado. A visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside services will be Friday, November 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. H.B. Terry officiating, at Elmwood Memorial Park, under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Preble was born to Allie Foster and Zona Goolsby Foster in Anson, Texas on March 23, 1919. She graduated from Anson High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She was a resident of Hamilton, Waco and Abilene before moving to Woodland Park, Colorado. While residing in Hamilton she was a member of the First Baptist Church and "Neighbor to Neighbor" organization. Preble was a service representative for 35 years for Southwestern Bell in Abilene and Waco. She was a member of the Southwestern Bell Retirees Club. She married Robert Wilmouth Lowe in Abilene.

Her husband preceded her in death on February 14, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son and his wife Bob and Kathy Lowe of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Michael Lowe, David Lowe, Matthew Lowe, Kathleen Lowe, Steven Lowe, Andrew Lowe, and Bob Lowe, Jr. and seven great-grandchildren.
