Erick Lovota Abrams, 38, of 104 Maple Court, husband of Jessica Abrams, departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Lovota (Carolyn) Abrams and the late Beulah Coates Abrams.
He was a member of Lockhart Baptist Church in Saluda. He attended both Greenwood and Saluda High School and graduated from Saluda High School in 1994. He was employed at both Red Lobster and JB's Café.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of the home; one son, Erick D. Abrams of Greenwood; one daughter, Ericka Abrams of the home; his father and stepmother of North Carolina; one sister, Chief Petty Officer Tonya (Chief Petty Officer Sherridan) McCray of Chesapeake, VA; two stepbrothers, Dr. Bruce (Michelle) Grady of Cary, NC, and Antonio (Katrina) Grady of Columbus, GA; two nephews, Jamie Day of Jacksonville, FL, and Ricky Day of OK; two nieces, Raquel and Saraji McCray, both of Chesapeake, VA; a brother-in-law, Stanley Robinson of Greenwood; special friends, "The 5 Points Crew" and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at The Prevailing Church, conducted by Rev. Lorenza Bell.
Burial will follow in The Evening Star Cemetery.
