William Anderson Oliver, or Willie or Duck, was born to George and Nancy Jane Stafford Oliver. He was married to Stella Mae Hunsaker on July 4, 1910, in Stoddard County, Missouri. He was the father of Nina Mae Oliver Boone, Sylvester Sterling Oliver Senior, Rita Mary Oliver, Raymond C. Oliver, and Bill Oliver. Three children preceded him in death in infancy or early childhood: an unnamed son, Burness William Oliver, and Will Oliver, Jr. Willie was a laborer-salesman who died in Malden, Missouri, on the porch of a customer from a heart attack.
