Funeral services for George Bush, a life-long resident of Minong, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church there at 10:30 a.m., Friday with Fr. Richard Burzynski officiating, with burial in the Minong cemetery. The Pettit Funeral Home was in charge.
Pallbearers were Willard MacGregor, A.H. Strenke, Julius Richards, Norm Adams, John Marlett and James Denham.
Mr. Bush was born at Minong July 6, 1906, and died February 11 at the Shell Lake hospital, after being in failing health for the past two years. He was a sailor on the Great Lakes for many years, and also had been employed by the Adams Decorating company, of Minong.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lyle (Phyllis) Groat, Minong; a brother, William Bush, Livingston, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Alice McCann, Minneapolis, Minn., and three grandchildren.
