William Junior Bingham, Smithfield, Cache County - Graveside services for Pvt. William Junior Bingham, 21, who was killed in action in the Pacific theater, April 19, 1942 will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Smithfield cemetery with Donane Chambers bishop of Smithfield Second ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Smithfield American Legion post No. 58 will conduct military rites.

Pvt. Bingham was born Sept. 13, 1920 in Smithfield, a son of Willard S. and May Bright Bingham. He graduated from the North Cache high school and was a teacher in the Smithfield Second ward. He entered the service Feb. 19, 1941 and served one year in the Philippines.

He is survived by his father of Smithfield and the following brothers and sisters: Vendean Bingham, San Francisco, Cal.; Boyd S. Bingham, Smithfield; Mrs. Mildred Stone, Smithfield; Mrs. Thelma Earl, Hayward, Cal.; Mrs. Amy Krisle, Providence; Mrs. Euvade Jensen, Preston, Ida.; and Mrs. Barbara Price, Wellsville.

Friends may call at the family home at 427 W. 2nd South in Smithfield Monday evening and Tuesday until time for the services. Burial is under the direction of the Kenneth Lindquist mortuary of Logan.
