Arnold E. Anklam, 77, passed away May 3, 2017, unexpectedly at his residence. He was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Tigerton to Ervin and Solveig (nee Pederson) Anklam. The family moved to Big Falls when Arnie was 5 years old, then he moved to Milwaukee in 1957. In 1958, he married Barbara Brinkman and moved to Port Washington in 1962. Arnie worked at Simplicity Manufacturing for 37 years. In 1996, the couple moved to West Bend and he retired in 2001.

Arnold was a member of the Newburg Sportsman Club, NRA, Ducks Unlimited and Gun Owners of America.

Arnold was a proud father of Dan (Sue), Jeanne (Rick) Wallace and Jesse (Jill). He is further survived by grandchildren, Sean and Caitlin Anklam, Lindsey and Halei Smith, Drew and Benjamin Wallace, and Mason and Reed Anklam; great-grandson, Sabastian Anklam; his sisters, Karen

(Dennis) Leyer and Nancy (Dennis) Helm; sister-in-law, Kay Anklam; brother, John (Spring) Anklam; brother-in-law, Donald Beebe; and nine nieces, five nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; his brother, Larry Anklam; brother-inlaw, Richard "Dick" Ulrichsen; sister- in-law, Betty Beebe; and brother- and sister-in-law, Jerry and Mary Noeske.

A funeral service for Arnold will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend).

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service (1 p.m.). Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Newburg Sportsman Club (329 Highway MY, Newburg, WI 53090) are appreciated.
